The year of the Festival

Shoreditch: Africa 05 festival

As part of Africa '05 we were appointed by Shoreditch Trust to produce the Shoreditch: Africa 05 festival to ‘show-off’ the local African community.

With all our passion, contacts and experience we produced an explosion of African culture.

Through the entire day 10,000 people descended on Haggerston Park to eat, drink, sing and dance in true African spirit.

The highlight was the “Hackney Finest” stage featuring the wondrous variety of the local talent.

Out of Africa festival

Eager for our very own festival, Hatch Events galvanised the support of Carnaby Ltd, Roots (BBC London and Arts Council England) and Africa ’05 to produce the Out of Africa festival, London’s largest African street festival.

Over eight days, we attracted an unbelievable 30,000 people to Kingly Court and Carnaby Street to immerse themselves in the culture of a Continent.
