CIDA Film Cafe

Brief -Develop an East London film netwok

Main objective is to provide businesss development training and support to East London based filmmakers. This is acheived through producing screening opportunities, training programmes and an online newsletter.


The CIDA Film Cafe was launched in October 2007 during the 2-day Creative Links conference.


We brought together leading film support agencies; London Met, NPA, Shooting People, Current TV, ITV Local, Film London, Four Corners, Spotlight, ABi, Hi8us, London Script Consultancy and Tower Hamlets Film Office to give filmmakers and those interested in film production the opportunity to network and find out what support is available to help them develop their film production businesses.


At the event we produced screening opportunities, a panel discussion titled “From Shorts to Features”, 1-2-1s, exhibition stands and an industry networking evening.

This conference was followed with an intensive five-day marketing development training workshop titled “How to Sell your Film”.
